I made this blog a few months ago because I felt this was a great way to share my thoughts about living a life directed by God and to share devotionals with the world, at least whoever would read my blog. I was so enthusiastic about this new project I would be embarking on. Even the daily devotional I read every day was about creativity and how to use it to glorify God.

So I posted a quote and a photograph that I had just recently taken. I found the quote in Francis Chan’s book, “Crazy Love”. It put so much in perspective for my life as a believer. We get so caught up in OUR lives and what WE want and what others think about US that we completely ignore what our true purpose on this Earth is. Its not about us. It’s about God and glorifying Him. He created us! We are His creation! Why would we not do anything we could to glorify our Creator and the One who sent His only son to die for us? Why? Because we are selfish and we don’t realize that once we are dead all those worldly things will stay on this earth and the only thing that will matter is if we loved God with all of our hearts, followed Him and heeded to His commandments. This made so many trivial things I was so caught up on seem pointless and so I wanted to share this with everyone I could.

After taking a few pictures around where I live (okay maybe a lot of pictures), I fell in love with the picture of the three clovers which I posted. In the picture there was a clover in the middle that stood out from the other two. This painted an image in my head of basically what Christians should be striving to do. We cannot follow Christ if we act like the rest of the world. “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2 We have to stand out and most importantly we have to be a bright light to this very dark world. “You are the light of the world…let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to you Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14,16

My two first posts on this blog seemed like a very promising start, but then came that lack of interest. I should have seen it coming. Whenever we get so into serving the Lord, Satan gets pretty ticked and does whatever he can to keep you from spreading the Gospel and devoting your time to God. Yet, the enemy can’t be victorious for long when we tightly hang on to God and seek His strength. So here I am ferociously typing away on my laptop letting God speak through me. It is my prayer that I can reach as many people with this blog and even if I only reach one person, I’ll know that at least one less person is lost in this world.
